The Feminine Path to Success

What is in your heart as you enter your work day as a holistic practitioner?  Likely in your mind are people you need to get in touch with, documents to prepare, and a hundred other items on your to-do list that need your attention.  Your heart, however, is a different story.  Your heart, you remember, is why you became an entrepreneur in the first place.

Your heart is where your dream was held and you had the courage to act on it.  From your heart, you are reminded each day to give only the best of yourself.  Your heart has you nurture your creation day in and out, as you envision your business reaching its fullest potential.  Within your heart, you believe in the possibilities that lie within you and your business and take forward action to make your dreams your reality.

If you were to be honest, you would also say that sometimes your heart is filled with angst.  Self-doubts come up regarding whether or not you are doing all that is necessary for your business to succeed.  You worry about the level of profits your business will or will not make.  Disappointments often become heartaches.

Your Inner World Affects Your Business Results

If you are like most, you are going to try to push aside those feelings and move on with your day.  Yet, if you think about it, trying to push away your feelings is an old-school mentality.  Believing there is no place for emotions with your work is reminiscent of the chauvinistic world that women had to deal with when they first entered the workforce in droves.  During that time, women were called to be men if they were to succeed.

In the new era we have entered, women owned start-ups outpace men.  We are creating our work to fit our lifestyles.  Doesn’t it make sense then that we should include our inner world as we move forward to create a fulfilling outer world?

As a psychotherapist who left the traditional path to create my own entrepreneurial business, what I have seen for myself and the countless other women entrepreneurs I have worked with is this:

You need to learn how to have all of your feelings on your side, working FOR YOU, rather than against you.

What this means is that rather than perceive your negative feelings as a nuisance that you try to kick to the curb or an obstacle you have to navigate around, your negative emotions are understood as your strength.  That’s right, you are now given the opportunity to reclaim what has been considered weak or shameful and experience your emotions as an advantage to your work.  By utilizing your feelings to your advantage, energy that was once wasted trying to resist your negative emotions is there for you to support you to move out of your comfort zone in order for you to claim more and more of your potential.

The Feminine Path to Success

This shift is what I call Feminine Emotional Mastery (FEM), which is not mastery over your feelings but mastery with your feelings.  Here’s the difference: In Feminine Emotional Mastery you aren’t trying to get rid of or escape any of your feelings.  You allow them to come through because you are able to understand your emotions from a position of empowerment.   Because you allow these feelings (rather than remain in resistance), you have moved to a position of being able to receive.  What FEM teaches is how each feeling carries specific insight guiding you with how you are meant to handle your experiences from a place of empowerment rather than unconsciously reacting from fear.

For those who have implemented FEM, the results been dramatic to both their businesses and their lives.  For some, this meant shifting from feeling stuck around money to implementing a new program that tripled their income.  For others, this shifted them from being in a constant state of overwhelm to finding both balance and success in their work.

This past year, my own practice of Feminine Emotional Mastery was put to the test, as I simultaneously navigated a book launch, while also readied our house to be put on the market.  Book launches are notorious for making even the most balanced lose their minds.  The old me would have felt constant stress by the overwhelming to-do list both work and home were requiring of me.  Even to my own surprise, I instead felt immense gratitude for how well my feelings navigated the process with relative ease and clarity.  My emotions taught me to receive rather than push to “make things happen,” and that is when life got really interesting.  Wonderful gifts appeared along the way, including my book being one of four featured in the Emmy Awards gift bags along with other features in major publications.

There is a new feminine path to success that awaits you as well. It is up to you if you want to be on the forefront of this change.  As a holistic practitioner or coach, you have chosen your unique path.  Available to you now is how to access the internal support to give you greater guidance and energy, as you seek goals on your chosen terrain.  Now is your opportunity to turn your negative feelings into your greatest allies, and be a part of the new feminine path to creating success in business and fulfillment in life.

My new book, F.E.E.L.: Turn Your Negative Feelings Into Your Greatest Allies, provides a proven, step-by-step process to show you how to access this new feminine path.

The closer you get to realizing your dreams, the more likely you are to be confronted with a slew of difficult emotions. I am experiencing this right now! I love the idea that these emotions are really acting as a guide. While they feel like they hold the power of an 9-ton brick wall, it is empowering to imagine that they are really just revealing my next adventure. Like they are directing me where to focus my energy next. It is so easy to give up when things get tough – I am proud to say that I am working hard at feeling my negative emotions instead of giving them the power to distract me from my dreams. Thanks for the great article!
