What Does the Summer Solstice Have to Do With Your Wellness Business?

Happy Summer Solstice! Today June 21st marks the longest day of the year, where the sun reaches its highest point. The Solstice is celebrated around the world, whether its by honoring ancient traditions or enjoying backyard BBQs.

The height of summer is a time when your energy increases, both physically and mentally. It’s about newness and excitement. It’s also a time for creating both inner and outer balance.

But what does the Summer Solstice have to do with your Wellness Business?

As physical and mental energy increases this time of year, you may find that you have more creative ideas about your work. The Solstice is a great time to harness all of the excitement and energy and funnel it into creativity in your business. Make sure to allow yourself time to tap into your creativity. Here’s a few idea for getting started:

Brainstorm – Schedule a weekly brainstorming session. Shut down the computer, email and other distractions and allow your creative juices to flow. Create a mind map of your next program launch or product idea.

Time Away – Get away for a day or weekend on a Business Retreat to plan your Fall marketing calendar. There’s no rules against business planning at a luxurious spa, either!

Partner – Set aside a block of time to connect with joint venture partners.

Mastermind – Reach out to other entrepreneurs and collectively tap into this energizing time of year. If you’re not an IAWP Member yet, considering joining so you can surround yourself with likeminded wellness pro’s..

Connect with Your Clients – Don’t assume just because it’s summer that your clients don’t want to hear from you. You might send a short survey using surveymonkey.com or create a summer downloadable audio series so clients can stay connected with you on-the-go.

Summer is also the perfect to take time off and reward yourself for all of the hard work you put in throughout the year. Remember, the Solstice is about inner and outer balance, so make sure to take extra special care of yourself! I’m taking Fridays off this summer!
