Welcome the New Year with a New Career!

What’s really holding you back from following your passion and starting your new year with a new career? What’s really getting in the way?

Almost every person has an “original wounding”. An original wounding is something that happened to you, was taught to you or experienced by you at a young age through relationships or life experiences that created a deep belief about your world. This belief created a pattern in how you choose to see the world that ultimately does not serve you in your adult life.

For some people, it can be obvious and devastating, like you were abused as a child. For others, it’s harder to find at first, even though it literally commands everything you do. It might be that you were told money doesn’t grow on trees. In your adult life, you find it difficult to earn money.

Or it might be that speaking up wasn’t polite.  In your adult life, you are afraid to speak up for yourself at work.

Or it may be that you learned that work was something you had to do to pay the bills and it wasn’t meant to be fulfilling. In your adult life, you want to follow your passion but are afraid to.

You might say you want better health, a loving relationship, financial security or a career you enjoy. But no matter how much you affirm it, it doesn’t happen because somewhere you learned that it wasn’t possible or right or good.

So even when you desire it deeply and affirm that you want it, because your subconscious mind has a memory of it not being possible, your subconscious mind guides your decision-making from the place of the original wounding.

Is your original wounding holding you back? Examine your “original wounding” and your personal story by exploring the questions in the sidebar of this article.

You can change the way you see the world. You can create new patterns and beliefs. You can move past the things that have held you back. You can follow your passion, live your dreams, and experience a rewarding new career.
